Important Announcement
Dear Valued MEVP Clients,
It is with mixed emotions and a heavy heart that I write to inform you that I will be retiring and officially closing Martin Equine Veterinary Practice as of December 15th of this year.

After nearly 38 years of providing equine and large animal care throughout San Diego County, the time has come for me to close this chapter and begin a new one with my family in Colorado.

This decision has not come easily, and it carries with it both sorrow and more than a little guilt. Recent events in my life have helped clarify where I'm most needed-and that is with my growing family. As my grandchildren grow, I feel a deep calling to be more present in their lives. They need their grandfather, and I want to be there for them in a meaningful way.

I have been deeply blessed to spend my career working with one of God's greatest creations: the horse. This journey has given me the privilege of forming lifelong relationships, many of which span three or even four generations. I am humbled and honored by the trust you have placed in me over the years. Thank you for allowing me to care for your animals and be a part of your lives.

Though stepping away from this profession is difficult, I carry with me the memories, friendships, and fulfillment that only a life in veterinary care could bring.

With sincere gratitude and warmest regards,
Larry G. Martin, DVM
